WebThe hurdy gurdy is very mechanical, apart from learning how to play it, there are lots of moving parts that you have to be familiar with to get the best results. It’s not an instrument that’s readily available, so that may deter people to some extent, it’s certainly not massed produced. If you want one, you have to wait quite a while.
